Nonostante le dichiarazioni del Pentagono, che afferma di non avere informazioni dettagliate sulle operazioni israeliane, la televisione e la radio di stato israeliane (Kan) hanno fatto sapere che il regime di Tel Aviv ha informato Washington dei suoi piani e ha ricevuto il via libera a procedere.
